How to properly configure a SEWOSY stand-alone keypad

How to properly configure a SEWOSY stand-alone keypad

Whether you are installing or re-programming a SEWOSY stand-alone keypad and you’re unsure where to start — whether it’s wiring, adding a new user, configuring the relay timeout, or changing an existing code — here’s everything you need to know to set up your stand-alone keypad quickly and effectively.

Understand the wiring of your stand-alone keypad

When installing a SEWOSY stand-alone keypad, it is crucial to correctly identify the output wires for proper connection.

  • Red and black: 12-24 V AC/DC power supply — essential for the keypad’s operation.
  • Pink and white: Common and Normally Open (NO) of relay 1. Use for motorised gates or locks requiring current-emission.
  • Pink and light-green: Common and Normally Closed (NC) of relay 1. Use for locks needing current-interruption.
  • Green and orange: Push-button input of relay 1, normally open (NO).

How to add a new user to your stand-alone keypad

To register a new user on your SEWOSY stand-alone keypad:

  1. Enter your master code (default: 1234 1234).
  2. Enter *001 to indicate you wish to add a new user.
  3. Assign a user number (001 to 999).
  4. Enter the new code, or present your badge if supported.
  5. Finish programming by pressing the # key twice.

The new user code is now active immediately.

How to program the relay timeout on your stand-alone keypad

You can define a timeout for relay 1 — i.e., how long it remains active before automatic switch-off.

  1. Enter your master code (default: 1234 1234).
  2. Enter *1 to access the relay-timeout function.
  3. Enter the number of seconds (e.g., 05 for five seconds).
  4. Finish by pressing # twice.

How to delete an old user code

If a user no longer needs access, you can remove their code:

  1. Enter your master code (default: 1234 1234 if unchanged).
  2. Specify the user number to delete (001-999).
  3. Press the * key twice to confirm deletion.
  4. Exit programming mode by pressing # twice.

Note: To delete all users at once: enter your master code, then * 8 88 # #.

How to change the master code of the stand-alone keypad

If you wish to modify the master code:

  1. Enter your current master code (default: 1234 1234).
  2. Enter *3 to access the master-code change function.
  3. Enter the new code twice to confirm.
  4. Press # # to validate.

Attention: The master code does not open the door — it’s only for configuring the keypad.

How to reset your SEWOSY stand-alone keypad

If the master code is lost, you can reset the keypad to factory settings:

  1. Switch off the power to the keypad.
  2. Press and hold the # key.
  3. Re-apply power while holding the # key for 3 seconds.

The master code is reset to “1234 1234”.
