Unblocking of this electric strike is performed by the power supply of the coil, which releases the keeper. The action generated by the fail-secure system is memorized by stationary contact of the bolt onto the pallet, thereby keeping the electric strike unlocked until the door is opened. Pressure on the pallet is then released and locking is automatically restored.

Furthermore, the electric strikes with memory include an OPEM lever of continuous opening of the latch strike, useful to maintain a professional local open for long time slots. This system must be manually operated in a sense to deactivate the locking, then the other way to reset.

The electric strikes function equally well with an AC or DC voltage, 12V in both cases.
